History tends to repeat itself, and in the fashion world this saying is especially true. Fashion is always changing, and there is never a dull moment! If it’s not a new trend it’s an old trend making a comeback. So, what are some of the biggest fashion comebacks of 2017?

One of my favorite comebacks is the Adidas snap up pants. Adidas signed an advertising deal with Run-D.M.C., making the first endorsement deal between a hip-hop artist and a major corporation. Kim Kardashian was spotted rocking snap ups with a twist. Kim made her fashion statement with a black see-through lace corset and black Adidas snap ups open to show off a pair of fishnets and heels. Some of the biggest fashion icons such as, Rihanna, Rasheeda Frost, and Janelle Monae have also been spotted SLAYING the look, and the open snap ups have since been trending globally.

As a diehard fan of the hit 1990’s sitcom, Martin, this comeback trend has me saying “Oh My Goodness!” My favorite character, Sheneneh, from Martin always made her fanny pack the statement piece, so I’m excited to say that fanny packs are making a comeback! They have changed quite a bit from the polyester neon versions worn by Sheneneh. These days, they’re made of leather and suede. Designers like Alexander Wang, Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff are making trendy options that are the perfect completion to the most stylish looks. Hollywood's prominent celebrities have been spotted wearing fanny packs, such as, Kendall Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, and A$AP Rocky. They’ve made quite the comeback!

These are a few of my favorite fashion comebacks of 2017 and they will most definitely not be forgotten! Fashion is about expressing your identity, showing someone who you are through your style choices; using clothes to say something about yourself. It’s making a statement without saying a word! I am so here for it and excited to see what other fashion trends will come back this season!
